Foodies can enjoy a delicious taste of Parramatta over the next two nights. Parramatta Lanes is on tonight and tomorrow, from 5pm to 10pm. Seven usually quiet lanes will come alive as themed spaces offering tasty treats for all.
"With our Eat Street precinct already booming every night of the week, Parramatta Lanes is a perfect addition to our thriving food scene," lord mayor Scott Lloyd said.
Town Hall Lane will be transformed into the Bazaar with Middle Eastern street food; Leigh Church will become Village Fete, a vintage craft market with Australian culinary classics and live music; and Batman Walk will host a sensory feast of video, sound and installations as the Art Amble.
Roxy Car Park has been transformed into Tokyo Neon with array of Asian street food stalls, a cocktail bar and the Love TV performance space; and those with a sweet tooth will love Disco Desserts (aka Red Cow Lane), where delectable desserts will be served with a disco soundtrack.
You can quench your thirst at the Boutique Beer and Wine Bar in Erby Place where craft beers and winetastings are paired with a European menu; and the University of New England future campus site on Church Street has been transformed into French a la mode with French inspired food, music and film.
