Voters will be spoilt for choice at the local government elections for Parramatta and Cumberland councils on September 9.
Nominations closed on Wednesday, followed by the ballot draw. The major parties confirmed a mix of familiar and fresh faces running for Parramatta Council.
Sameer Pandey will lead the Labor ticket in Parramatta ward, followed by James Shaw and Sharon Xu.
Patricia Prociv leads the Rosehill ticket, followed by Michael Ng and Ajoy Gosh.
Former councillor Pierre Esber leads the Dundas ticket, followed by Anthony Ellard and Angela Humphries.
The Epping ticket is led by Donna Davis, followed by Tony Lee and Joanne Paul.
Paul Han, Andrew Punch and Carol Chan are the North Rocks candidates. Liberal opponents include former Hills mayor Andrew Jefferies, former Parramatta councillor Bob Dwyer and Darryn Capes-Davis. Christian Democratic Party candidate Craig Hall will also run in the North Rocks ward.
Former deputy mayor Steven Issa leads the Liberals’ Rosehill ticket with Devi Shetty and Peter Tanswell.
Liberal candidates Benjamin Barrak, Aparna Vats, Katie Dee Mullens will run for the Dundas ward while Martin Zaiter, Jugandeep Singh and Simon Chhoeu will run for Parramatta.
William Tyrrell, Felicity Findlay and Wez Si are the Liberal candidates in the Epping ward, where former lord mayor Lorraine Wearne will run as an independent.
A host of former Holroyd and Auburn councillors will contest the Cumberland elections. In the Granville ward, the Liberal ticket includes Joseph Rahme, Natalie Issa and Jamie Sleiman. Tom Zreika, Izeet Anmak and Jeoung Nam Park will run for South Granville.
Former mayor Ross Grove leads the Liberal ticket in Greystanes, followed by Charles Nassif and Stella Camenzuli, who previously ran an an independent. Former councillor Michael Zaiter leads the Wentworthville ticket, followed by Karunanithi Sathiah and Peter Bobb. Ned Attie, Jonathan Huang and Haisheng Shi are running in Regents Park.
The Labor team for Cumberland was previously announced.
Local Independent Party candidates running include Sashi Medam, Elias Kassab and Sam Carlino (Wentworthville), former mayor Nasr Kafrouni, Charles Itaoui and Joe Mercia (Granville) and George Kafrouni, Michael La Robina and Nadima Saba (Greystanes).
The Greens will run three candidates in the Wentworthville ward with humanitarian Sujan Selven, Paul Esposito and Adel Fazel. Steven Lopez is an independent in the Granville ward.
