A man was charged after allegedly failing to stop for a random breath test in Guildford over the weekend.

Police said officers allegedly pursued the white Toyota Hilux after he failed to stop for a random breath test while driving down McCredie Road just after 12am on Saturday, August 5.

The St Johns Park man, 23, allegedly drove at 110 kilometres per hour in 50 kilometre per hour zones, and drove through red lights.

The pursuit only lasted a few minutes due to concerns for public safety.

The car allegedly stopped on Keyne Street in Prospect, where the driver allegedly ran into the yard of a home in Broad Street in Prospect.

Officers followed the man and he was arrested and taken to Blacktown police station.

He was charged with police pursuit not stop, drive while disqualified, enter enclosed lands, and resist police. The man was refused bail and appeared in Blacktown Local Court on Tuesday, August 8.
