Nominate your favourite business now in the Parramatta Business Awards.
Now in its 26th year, the awards are an opportunity for the community to recognise businesses that provide outstanding goods and services.
Customers nominate and vote for businesses in industry categories, with the winners then eligible to be chosen as the overall Business of the Year.
Last year’s winner, Alan Chong of Pappa Rich Parramatta, said he was “truly honoured” to win.
“We are extremely privileged to have received this award because it’s a reflection of what Parramatta sees and we were among several very high calibre candidates and other nominees,” he said. “Staff morale is boosted and the award is a testament to all the team’s work.”
Major sponsors are Parramatta Council and NOVA Employment and support sponsors, Parramatta RSL Club and Westfield Parramatta.
A copy of the nomination coupon is available in this week’s Sun. Everyone who nominates is in the running to win a GoPro Hero5 Black.
Nominations close on June 6 with the winners announced at the presentation evening on August 2 at Parramatta RSL Club.
Meanwhile tickets for the Cumberland Local Business Awards presentation night at Merrylands RSL on June 7 have almost sold out. Paul Hancock will return as MC and entertainment is a Sia Tribute show.

Precedent Productions managing director Steve Loe started presenting awards for businesses in 1985 to recognise the efforts of business owners and their staff.
“My parents were business people, and I grew up helping behind the scenes, so I saw first-hand how hard they worked,” he said.
“I always thought that they and other business people deserved to be rewarded in public for their hard work and dedication just as much as any actor who receives a Logie.”
Mr Loe said sponsors understood the importance of their community’s businesses and wanted to acknowledge their efforts.
“The awards sponsors, through their support, encourage the vital role local business plays in the prosperity and vibrancy of the community,” he said.
He also encouraged members of the community to nominate and vote for their favourite local businesses by visiting the awards’ website: thebusinessawards.com.
