Finalists to be revealed in Cumberland Local Business Awards

Hundreds of businesses will learn they are finalists in this year’s Cumberland Local Business Awards.

Precedent Productions managing director and awards founder Steve Loe said an unprecedented number of nominations were received, particularly online.

Independent (and anonymous) judges will now visit each finalist and assess them based on criteria from a customer’s perspective: business presentation, products, value for money, and customer service.

Customer references and written testimonials are also considered by the judges.

Finalists can also submit extra information about their business that are not obvious to a customer, such as staff training and motivation, community engagement and environmental sustainability.

To see the finalists list: 8577 5060 or thebusinessawards.com.au.

Major sponsors: Cumberland Council, Stockland Merrylands and Primewest Auburn Megamall and support sponsors: Dooleys Catholic Club Lidcombe, Merrylands RSL Club, Lidcombe Centre and Merrylands Chamber of Commerce.

“Their support of the Local Business Awards reflects their ongoing commitment to local business in the area, and is essential in the running of the program.”

The Sun and Auburn Review are the official media partners.

They will publish the names of all category finalists as a part of the special finalist feature in the coming weeks.
