A man was found by Police yesterday tied up and bound after a Toongabbie home invasion.
About 6.15am yesterday (Sunday 28th October) three men entered a home on Aurelia Street in Toongabbie.
The three men were all wearing masks, dark clothes and gloves when they confronted a 76-year-old man in his bedroom.
It is alleged the men bound the man to a chair, threatened him and demanded a sum of cash.
After locating a sum of cash in a nearby retail premises, it is alleged the three men left the area along Aurelia Street heading towards Toongabbie Railway Station about 8.30am.
A short time later the victim freed himself and contacted police.
The man was treated at the scene by Paramedics for minor injuries.
A crime scene was secured at the man’s home and the nearby retail premises. Detectives and forensic experts examined the premises and conducting investigations.
Police have urged anyone with information about unusual or suspicious activity in the area overnight to come forward.
Holroyd Local Area Command detectives are continuing their inquiries into the incident
