Is this the superstar equivalent of sending flowers to your significant other's office? Possibly.
Adele fans in Nashville received a surprise overnight when they were showered in handwritten notes from the singer's partner, to celebrate their five-year anniversary.
The singer's performance of Rolling in the Deep on her US tour normally ends with white confetti featuring her song lyrics, however, there was a surprise when the arena-skies opened at Bridgestone Arena in Tennessee on Sunday night.

"It's pink tonight, look at that," Adele can be heard saying on fan videos of the performance. "This confetti is normally white."
It was only when fans grabbed the confetti that they realised it had been personalised with handwritten messages for the singer's anniversary.
"Happy anniversary!" read one. "You are an angel," read another.

Adele started dating Simon Konecki in 2011.
The pair have a son together, Angelo, aged three.
