A Newcastle man has become an internet sensation after he was recorded riding a go-kart and crashing into a fence while in a dress at the Bathurst 1000.
The hilarious video was first posted to the website of Sydney radio station Triple M.
The man at the centre of the hype, Dave Hughes, copped the reaction on the chin, posting a thank you message to Triple M on Facebook for sharing his antics with the world.
“Cheers to Triple M for being able to share my weekend shenanigans with all my friends at home, who have tagged me all over Facebook like the legends they are,” Mr Hughes said on Facebook.
The real race on Mount Panorama is still under way.
