Plans to transform the former Bonds site have been described as a slap in the face to the local community.
The Residents Against Cumberland Council Over Development group remains strongly opposed to the 1500 unit proposal following a public information session.
A second session will be held at Toongabbie Community Centre on Saturday, 10am-noon as part of the public exhibition process for Dyldam’s Dunmore Street proposal.
“This planning proposal, much like the previous one, fails to address any of the community concerns, and provides no benefits to the local residents or community whatsoever,” a group spokesperson said.
“The proposed 12 storey high building at the centre with a number of smaller buildings eight to four storeys at the edges, is in stark contrast to the surrounding lower density built form.”
