First Grade
Parramatta side didn’t have a streak of luck when it came to the weather at the weekend.
Rain disturbed most of the match against Randwick-Petersham at Coogee.
The start of play was delayed by about three hours and bad light restricted the rest of the day’s play to 30 overs in two hours.
Despite the downpour there was still plenty of entertainment, after two backpackers decided strip down and run onto the ground.
One performed a Fuifui Moimoi-like tackle on the stumps and decided to run off with them.
While two of the stumps were returned, the third piece of timber disappeared with the second runner.
It was eventually found outside the ground, but no more play was possible.
Play will resume this weekend with Parramatta at 3/71.
Raza Rizwan is not out on 21 and Adam Turrell is also still at the crease on four.
Second Grade
Parramatta were dismissed for 121 of a wet seaming wicket.
Trent Crittenden and Ben Schutz got off to a great start, with an opening partnership of 28.
But the fall of the first wicket saw Parramatta crumble, with four batsmen dismissed for LBW.
Randwick-Petersham will return to the crease this weekend at 4/137.
