Police are investigating after a restaurant in Parramatta was robbed by a man staff thought had a firearm.
About 11.40pm Friday, September 28, employees were working in the restaurant when a man entered holding the object and ordered a female staff member to hand over money.
She complied and gave the man money before he fled on foot through a rear door onto a laneway.
The offender walked into another restaurant off the laneway before being confronted by four staff members.
No-one was injured in the incident.
Specialist forensic officers attended and examined the scene.
At the time of the incident the offender was wearing a dark hooded jacket and blue pants. Witnesses told police his face was covered during the robbery.
