The Western Sydney Academy of Sport is offering softball scholarships for junior athletes aged 15 to 17.
Applicants must live within the academy’s geographic catchment area and meet its online selection criteria.
The academy’s softball program is endorsed by Softball NSW and provides player pathways to junior squad and national teams.
Starting in November, the program will consist of technical, educational and personal development opportunities for athletes.
Softball NSW general manager Cathy Kerr said the softball program was one of the most successful avenues to better develop athletes and coaches to state and national levels.
The academy has 14 current graduates representing Australia in the national 17s and 19s squads this year.
Nominations are available on the academy’s website: wsas.com.au.
