Rosehill-based horse trainer Chris Waller claimed the quinella in the group 1 George Main Stakes at Randwick on the weekend.
The $350,000 race featured a reasonably strong field with the likes of Secret Admirer and Black Caviar’s half-brother All Too Hard.
But it was Waller’s gelding Shoot Out who was first past the post at the end of the 1600-metre journey.
Stablemate Rangirangdoo finished second by a neck to round out the top two.
Following the run on Saturday, Waller is now expected to send the duo to the Group 1 Epsom Handicap at Randwick in two weeks.
They will likely face the Gai Waterhouse-trained More Joyous, who boasts an incredible win rate of more than 74 per cent from 27 starts.
A decision on whether to send the pair down to Melbourne will be made after the Epsom Handicap.
Waller’s third runner in the race, Danleigh, finished sixth.
