Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was assaulted during a carjacking in Wentworthville on Saturday night, September 15.
About 9pm, a 27-year-old man was returning to his black Dodge Journey 4WD which was located in a fast food car park on the Great Western Highway.
Police have been told that as the man neared his vehicle, he was struck to the back of the head by an unknown object.
The 27-year-old was then wrestled to the ground by two men, who fled in the Dodge 4WD bearing NSW registration plates BSF-01T.
It was last seen heading east on the Great Western Highway.
Officers attached to Holroyd Local Area Command attended and began an investigation into the incident.
The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics.
Police are wishing to speak with two men in relation to the incident.
The first man is described as being of Pacific Islanader/Maori appearance.
The second man is described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance and thin build.
