An alleged member of the Nomads bikie gang has been charged over a shooting in Granville earlier this year.
Detectives investigating the spate of shootings in Parramatta and The Hills areas in April, attended a home in Rozelle about 10am today and arrested a 31-year-old man.
Police said the alleged Nomads bikie was charged in relation to the shooting at Grimwood Avenue, Granville, early on the morning of Tuesday, April 17.
He was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today.
Police have now arrested eight people in relation to five shootings on April 17, two shootings at Rouse Hill and Bella Vista on April 20, a shooting at Merrylands on April 23, and a shooting at Parramatta on July 14.
Last month, police claimed the violence between Nomads and Hells Angels members had been stopped as the significant players had all been arrested.
Police alleged the spate of shootings had been started by members ‘‘patching over’’ from one gang to the other.
