THE amazing thing about kids is that they're always changing — especially their minds.
This week they love Frozen, next week Barbie's top of the pops.
Now that's all very well, unless you've decorated your favourite little person's bedroom in ice blue and silver with giant snowflakes, only to find that bubblegum pink is now the order of the day.
The trick is to keep it timeless while adding a few touches that are quick and inexpensive to change as your child grows.
Furniture that can do double duty will more than earn its keep over the years.
Keep the room clutter-free with a bed that has built-in storage space underneath.
You'll save floor space by not having toy boxes everywhere.
Make sure the floor coverings, furniture and paint are classic pieces that won't date and stick with a neutral colour scheme for the walls and floors.
Now use bed linen, wall decals, cushions, throws, knick-knacks and anything else that strikes your fancy to create the look of your child's dreams. These things are relatively inexpensive to buy and can be changed easily.

Want a Frozen room?
Buy an ice blue coverlet, paper fold-out snowflakes from a party shop and a battery operated string of icicle lights to wind around the bedhead.
Is Jurassic World the flavour of the month?
Think greens and browns, framed dinosaur prints and mini figures on the shelves.
