Guildford man charged over car rebirthing

A Guildford man has been charged by detectives investigating an organised car rebirthing operation.

Strike Force Adderton was established by the Property Crime Squad earlier this year to investigate the alleged theft, dismantling and rebirthing of late-model motor vehicles in Sydney.

After a series of raids this year, police allege to have seized stolen vehicles, dismantled vehicles, various stolen car parts and property taken from the stolen vehicles.

Also seized were a number of rebirthed vehicles that had been fitted with stolen parts.

A man, 41,  was arrested during one of those search warrants and remains before the court.

Just after 10am on Tuesday, detectives attended a home at Woodstock Street, Guildford, and arrested a man , 39, who was charged with facilitating organised car rebirthing.

He was granted bail to face Burwood Local Court on October 16.
