PJ'S Irish Pub, Parramatta, will celebrate its revamped premises with a performance from recently married pop stars Brian McFadden and Vogue Williams.
The entertainment venue changed management to Iris Hotel Group in 2011 and renovations have taken place to make it more customer-friendly.
Iris Hotel Group's Paul Devine said he hoped more people would be attracted to the venue as a result of the changes.
"We wanted to design a venue which was suitable for all people," he said.
"A vibrant, open and fresh space where people would feel at ease, minus the darker corners which pre-existed.
"We wanted to give Parramatta a local, safe option for entertaining and to provide a modern twist on an Irish pub, being mindful of the history of entertainment in the venue."
McFadden and Williams will bring a bit of Irish flavour when they perform.
"I thought, being Irish, that it would be nice as one of their first acts as husband and wife, to be involved in launching back into the local populace an iconic Irish venue and to celebrate their marriage in an Irish pub.
"The fact that the dates fell on the weekend after their nuptials — and at exactly the calendar point where it was half way to St Patrick's Day — seemed to be an omen.
"I suppose in a way we are an Irish pub away from home.
"We are proud of the venue and proud to be located in Parramatta, and like any good Irish home, we are delighted to entertain and welcome visitors."
There have been a number of renovations to the pub with an emphasis on open planning and a plan to brighten it up.
