MOVE over man caves, here comes the she shed.
Why should blokes be the only ones to have a sanctuary away from the noise and chaos in the house?
Women are taking the traditional garden shed and making it their own in an effort to claim some of the solitude and serenity that blokes have traditionally found in their backyard domain.
So how do you get one of these backyard beauties?
Step one, of course, is a shed.
Step two is to decide how you want it to look inside and out which, of course, will be dictated by your hobbies and taste.
A potting shed for a green thumb will probably look a lot different to a nook for a bookworm.
Electricity can be a bonus, but if you don't want the expense, opt for natural light via plenty of windows and a glass door.
Now the she shed is meant to look the way you want it — forget practicality.
You'll need an old sofa or armchair (maybe even a daybed for daydreaming and reading), a table for craft or afternoon tea, loads of fluffy cushions, curtains and, of course, all the memorabilia your family hates and you love.
