A man, charged with the stabbing of a woman in Granville yesterday, will face court today.
Police said they were called to a home on Elizabeth Street where they found a 21-year-old woman suffering a superficial stab wound to her abdomen about 3pm yesterday.
Police then allegedly located a 39-year-old man at the intersection Elizabeth and Blaxcell Streets in Granville, moments later.
He was arrested and taken to Parramatta Police Station where he was charged with attempt choke/strangle with intent to commit indictable offence, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and being armed with intent to commit indictable offence.
He was refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Local Court today.
