Bruce Jenner has had sex reassignment surgery, according to reports.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and former Olympian reportedly had surgery "three weeks ago" to change his genitalia.
"The procedure involved reshaping Bruce's male genitalia into that of a woman," a source told RadarOnline.
"He was very happy with the results, but didn't realise how gruelling the recovery would be."
Neither Jenner nor any member of the Kardashian family has confirmed the reports.
It has been over a month since Bruce Jenner announced to the world he identified as a woman.
Jenner, who was married to Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner from 1991 to 2014, broke the news to Diane Sawyer in a confessional interview on April 25.
"For all intents and purposes, I am a woman," the 65-year-old said.
"People look at a me differently. They see [me] as this 'macho male', but my heart and soul, and what I do in life . . . that female side is part of me. I was not genetically born that way."
Bruce Jenner's coming out was covered on a recent double-episode special of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The special, titled About Bruce, followed Jenner as he revealed the news to his children and stepchildren, who are also his co-stars on the E! Network reality show.
A particularly emotional moment during the special came when Jenner explained his situation to ex-wife Kris.
"I just miss Bruce. And that's going to take me a minute to mourn that relationship; you think you're going to grow old with somebody, and they drastically change over the course of just a few years," Kris told her former husband.
"All I have really is my memories. I look at pictures of you and the kids, and I'm really sad because I feel like you died. You know, Bruce died. And it's really hard for me to wrap my head around."
The E! Network is also producing an eight-part documentary about Jenner's transition.
Jenner has requested that the media use masculine pronouns when referring to him in stories until he indicates otherwise.
