A man has been arrested in Parramatta and charged with trying to procure sex from a child using the internet.
The 42-year-old man had been under police surveillance after a tip-off from Queensland police.
Officers from the Sex Crimes Squad’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit then posed as a 14-year-old boy in an online chat forum and took part in conversations with the accused.
Police will allege that some of those conversations were sexually explicit.
