A man has been charged with detaining and sexually assaulting a woman in Epping.
The 38-year-old man will face court today accused of forcing the woman, 41, into her vehicle, making her drive to a secluded area and sexually assaulting her on Sunday, August 19.
Police allege the woman was then forced to drive to her home address in Epping, where the man fled.
The woman attended Eastwood Police Station and reported the matter a short time later.
It is understood the accused and the woman know each other.
Yesterday, police from Eastwood Local Area Command raised Pennant Hills home and seized a number of items.
The accused attended Eastwood Police Station later in the day, where he was placed under arrest and charged with take and detain with intent to obtain advantage and two counts of aggravated sexual assault.
