Congratulations go to Monique Chung and Laura Wilkie, who received their Grey Wolf Awards at 1st Carlingford Scouts earlier this month.

Presented by District Cub Leader Virginia Klomp, the Grey Wolf Award is the highest achievement of a Cub scout aged 8-11 years old.

Promise Challenge Badge presentations were also made by District Commissioner Tracey Hansford to Triana Ho, 8, Daniel Whelan, 8 and David Guo, 8.

The Promise Challenge award is the highest award in the Joey Scout Section.

To earn the Promise Challenge Badge, the Joey Scouts had to find five interesting facts about the Founder of Scouts, Baden Powell, write their own prayer and present it to the Mob and complete a service to the community.

Triana read stories and served morning tea at a local nursing home, Daniel  took the opportunity to clean up the local park near his home and presented a poster he created to the Mob on the consequences to the local wildlife if rubbish is left and David undertook to sort the rubbish and recycling bins out at his block of units.

Scouting is an organisation which encourages the whole family to get involved. For further information, contact Michael Cook, Group Leader on 0419 121 322.
