Police are appealing to the public for information after a man was shot in Merrylands.
Police said emergency services were called to Yeend Street, where they found a man with a gunshot wound to his thigh at about 7.30pm on Sunday, August 24.
The injured man, aged 34, was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital.
His injury is not considered life threatening
Police established a crime scene, which is to be examined by forensic and ballistic specialists.
A search and canvass of the area is underway.
