Parramatta's Paralympians farewelled in Sydney

As local Olympians Dani Samuels, Sebastian Marczak and Warren Potent dissect their 2012 campaign, the countdown to the Paralympics begins.

There are a number of 2012 Paralympians with ties to the Parramatta area including Stephanie Schweitzer, Kristy Pond, Rosemary Little and Simone Kennedy.

The form of Kennedy suggests she could be a major force at the competition that begins on August 29.

The Parramatta Cycling club member walked away with two gold medals after her debut international competition at the Track World Championships earlier this year.

Equally, Pond’s five gold medals and four Australian records at the 2008 Pacific School Games cannot be dismissed.
