South Granville house and Guildford liquor store raided by police

A South Granville man and a liquor store in Guildford have been implicated in a drug bust that police said included a seizure of five kilograms of heroin, ice and ecstacy.

The South Granville man, 56, had his home was raided by police yesterday, along with seven other properties, including the Guildford liquor store and homes in Smithfield, Canley Vale, Chester Hill, Cabramatta and Bonnyrigg.

Police allege that when they attended a Banksmeadow home at 12.15pm, three men and a woman were in the act of a heroin deal.

Police said they seized seven 350 gram blocks of what they believe to be heroin and $200,000 in cash.

The men, aged 32, 39 and 50, and the woman, 38, were arrested and will face Waverley Local Court today.

Police said the home in Bonnyrigg was heavily fortified and the Public Order and Riot Squads were called to force entry.

They allege to have seized about one kilogram of the drug ice, half a kilogram of heroin, a small quantity of ecstasy, various drug paraphernalia, documents and electronic equipment.

A 50-year-old woman was arrested at Cabramatta

Police said six people were charged and refused bail in the operation, which they believe stopped a large commercial heroin supply.
