It might be the season of winter blues but don't let that stop you from adding colour to your home with bright cushions.
Priska Heranindita, owner of online store Decor Cushions, said bright cushions were definitley in for this season.
"Yellows are a hot trend for 2012," Mrs Heranindita said.
"Use sandy yellows with shades of orange, or go for bright yellows toned down with shades of grey.
"Colour blocking is a key trend in fashion at the moment, so people are incorporating the catwalk looks in their home."
To bright up a room, Mrs Heranindita suggests to mix and match coloured cushions.
"A tip would be to try solid toss cushions in blocks of clashing colours like pink and orange, or blue and green," she said. "These unusual colour combinations work when you keep to the same tone."
