Parramatta Eels coach Stephen Kearney is poised to receive assistance from two-time premiership winning coach Chris Anderson.
The 60-year-old is expected to return to the NRL for the first time since quitting as the Sydney Roosters coach in 2007.
After a horrid start to the season, speculation surrounding Kearney’s future at the club has been rife.
But it is believed the decision to bring Anderson on board was the Parramatta coach’s idea.
Kearney was a part of the 1999 premiership winning Storm side that was coached by Anderson.
