Police have arrested and charged a de facto couple with illicit drug related offences after a raid on a house in Toongabbie.
Parramatta police searched the house on Fearn Street about 6.30am yesterday, Friday June 22.
During the search, it is alleged that detectives found a range of prohibited drugs including methylamphetamine known as ice, MDMA known as ecstasy and cannabis.
An amount of cash and a plastic air pistol were also allegedly discovered.
A 34-year-old man and 25-year-old woman were arrested.
The male was charged with posessing and supplying prohibited drugs, knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime, posessing an unauthorised firearm and other charges.
He was refused bail and will appear before Parramatta Local Court today, Saturday, June 23.
The female was charged with two counts of posessing prohibited drugs and other charges.
She was granted conditional bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court on July 8.
Two children – aged 8 and 10 – who were in the care of the couple at the time of their arrests are now in the care their natural birth mother.
