Seven men charged after Guildford kidnapping

Police have arrested seven men after they kidnapped two teenagers at a house on Clyde Street, Guildford.

About 2.30am yesterday, Sunday June 17, police received information that two males – a 16-year-old and a 19-year-old – were being unlawfully detained at the house.

Rosehill police, with assistance from the dog squad, attended the property and recovered the two teens.

At the premises, officers arrested seven men, who police will allege were responsible for detaining the two teenagers.

The arrested men were all charged with offences relating to the unlawful detainment of the two teens and will appear in court today.

Those arrested are:

  • A 22-year-old Auburn man, appearing in Fairfield Local Court today;

  • A 23-year-old man from Old Guildford, appearing in Parramatta Local Court today;

  • A 22-year-old Guildford man, appearing in Fairfield Local Court today;

  • An 18-year-old Auburn man, appearing in Fairfield Local Court today;

  • A 22-year-old Auburn man, appearing in Fairfield Local Court today;

  • A 21-year-old Guildford man, appearing in Parramatta Local Court today;

  • A 20-year-old man from Brooklyn, Victoria, appearing in Parramatta Local Court today.

At the scene, officers also seized a firearm, cash, a stun-gun, bullets and a number of bags containing white powder.
