A man has been charged with manufacturing prohibited drugs after an incident in Greystanes last night.
Holroyd Police responded to a report of a concern for welfare at a house on Jersey Road (Cumberland Highway), Greystanes about 8.55pm yesterday, Thursday, May 26.
Police attended and found a woman who was allegedly under the influence of a drug.
Officers spoke to a man who they say admitted to consuming “ice”.
Police located a quantity of the drug at the premises and in a further inspection allegedly located a large clandestine laboratory in a rear granny flat.
The 29-year-old man was taken to Merrylands Police Station and charged with manufacture prohibited drug and deal with property suspected proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court today, May 25.
The woman at the address was taken to Westmead Hospital for assessment and treatment.
