Rosehill teacher charged with child sex offences

ROSEHILL police have arrested and charged a high school teacher from the area with child sex offences.

Detectives arrested the 27-year-old man at a high school in Sydney’s south-west about 2pm on Thursday, and charged him with child pornography and child grooming offences, police said.He was granted conditional bail to appear in Fairfield Local Court on Monday, June 11.Police allege that since March this year, the man has exchanged sexually-explicit photos with a teenage girl online and sent her lewd messages.

Investigating officers executed search warrants on two properties at Bankstown and Grays Point on Thursday and seized computer equipment.

A computer used by the teacher was also seized from his school.

Police said they could not identify which school the teacher worked at for legal reasons.
