TWO teenage males wrestled with an intruder at a Mays Hill home after returning home to find the place had been ransacked, police said.
About 3.15pm yesterday, a 17-year-old boy and his friend arrived home to Burnett Street after school and were confronted by a 34-year-old male intruder.
Police allege the man had gathered property from the home to steal before the teens grabbed him.
The intruder is alleged to have bit and kicked the youths before producing a knife and fleeing when the boys retreated.
Police were called and tracked the accused to a property in Robilliard Street, Mays Hill, where he was found hiding under a house.
He was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment to two small lacerations to his forehead before being released back into police custody.
He was charged with several offences including using an offensive weapon and break, enter and steal.
He was given conditional bail and will appear in Fairfield Local Court on June 6.
