Underbelly series filming in Auburn

Scenes from the next Underbelly TV series instalment, Underbelly Badness are filming in Auburn today.

Films from the series, which a spokesman for production company UBB Pty Ltd said will be set in the current time and based on the hunt for one of Australia's most vicious crooks.

The central figure of the show is a man that would never have been caught were it not for a detective who just wouldn't quit.

Scenes for the series will be filmed on location in Auburn on North Street, near the T-junction of Edgar Street this moring.

From 12pm to 7pm there will also be filming on Rickard Street, between North Street and Cumberland Road.

Some of the scenes will be filmed inside a house and other will be on the footpath and in the street.

The spokesman said the filming may impact on traffic flow on the streets.

Residents have been asked to use their garages and driveways for parking if possible, as the film crew will require street parking.
