Police are investigating another shooting in Merrylands.
Eight shots were fired at a block of units on Oxford Street, just after midnight this morning.
Witnesses contacted police and officers from Holroyd Police and Operation Spartan attended the scene.
A white car at the scene sped off when nearby highway patrol arrived. The police chased the car, which had four people on board.
The white car and the police collided on nearby Edgar Buggy Street, Merrylands.
The car's passengers ran from the scene and police chased them.
The dog squad and PolAir attended to assist in locating the occupants, however they have not been located at this stage.
Attending police established a crime scene on Oxford Street.
A number of projectiles entered two separate units during the incident. A woman in one of the units was treated for shock at the scene.
Oxford Street remains closed whilst the investigation takes place.
