Ferries between Parramatta and Rydalmere have been cancelled due to the weir overflowing at Parramattta Wharf. They will be replaced with buses up until 2.30pm today.

Bank West at Westfield Parramatta was forced shut yesterday after a leak in the roof of the centre.

All council sporting fields had been closed as of yesterday afternoon due to the heavy rainfall.

The State Emergency Service has advised people not to drive, ride or walk through flood water, to keep clear of creeks and storm drains and to avoid fallen power lines.
