THE Holroyd Parramatta Goannas had a disappointing week in round 16 of AFL Sydney division action.
Out of three senior division matches and the under-19s side the club only came away with one victory for the round.
Division one Goannas were the successful team on Saturday, further improving their chances of a top three finish, and extending their winning streak to seven, with a 16-point win over St George.
Taigen Dubbelde was best on ground with a strong game through midfield, while Ben Rogers led the way up front.
Division four took on an in-form Campbelltown Blues side and unfortunately it was Campbelltown who got the jump, controlling the game and taking an early lead against a flat Goannas side, eventually winning by 31.
Division five hosted Sydney Uni and were looking to chalk up their second win. The Students got the better of the start, making the most of their opportunities, and their early second half blitz opened the game up for a final 67-point margin.
The under-19s hosted Southern Power chasing that elusive breakthrough win for the year, however the Power were too classy for the young Goannas.
