The Greater Sydney Rams have announced their player list for the inaugural season of the newly-formed National Rugby Championship.

Benn Robinson, Ben Volavola, Chris Alcock, and Jed Holloway highlight Rams players that will compete in the NRC, all bringing Super Rugby experience that will be vital to help a young squad gel quickly before competition starts.

The list includes players from clubs in the Sydney Shute Shield rugby competition – Penrith, Parramatta, West Harbour, Eastwood, Southern Districts – and some from the various Super Rugby squads.

A list of Wallabies that will act as ambassadors for the team including Rob Horne, Ben Alexander, Tatafu Polota Nau, Kurtley Beale and Tevita Kuridrani.

The Rams play in a national competition from August to October and will be based out of Parramatta Stadium for home games.

Their games will be against teams from, NSW Country, Canberra, Perth, Sydney, Qld Country, North Harbour (Sydney), Brisbane City and Melbourne.

Over the next two weeks details will be released about the Rams development team and men's and women's sevens teams.
