Car crashes into Guildford home

Five people have escaped uninjured after a car crashed into a house following a collision at Guildford this morning.

About 8:40am, Tuesday 22 July 2014, emergency services were called to the intersection of Harris and Hawksview Streets following reports of a collision.

At the scene, police found a grey Holden Cruze and a white Ford Falcon taxi had been involved in a collision.

The taxi continued on through the front yard of a house before crashing into the side of a townhouse complex.

A woman and her young son travelling in the Holden and a man who was driving the taxi were not injured in the collision.

A couple who were inside the townhouse also escaped uninjured.

Police from Holroyd Local Area Command and officers from Fire & Rescue NSW remain at the scene with the townhouse having sustained minor structural damage.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the collision are continuing.
