PARRAMATTA Eels SG Ball stars Tyrell Fuimaono and Tom Amone have been selected in the 2014 Australian Schoolboys team to tour England and France at the end of this year.

Ironically, the pair were on opposite sides in the Australian Secondary Schools Championships when Fuimaono was part of the NSW Combined Catholic College's defeat of Amone's NSW Combined High Schools team in the grand final.

For Fuimaono, 18, it is the second year he will pull on the green and gold having being selected in the Australian Schoolboys last year.

The talented second-rower and centre was also recently part of the NSW under-18s team that defeated QLD in the curtain raiser to State of Origin Two where he was joined by Eels teammate Alex Twal.

His good form has seen him elevated to the Holden Cup where he will start in the centres on Friday night.

Selection in the green and gold caps off a big year for front-rower Amone who was also named Eels' SG Ball player of the year .

The team will play seven games in England and France in November and December.

The pair follow in the footsteps of NRL stars who have represented the Australian schoolboys including Tim Mannah (Christian Community High School, 2006), Joesph Paulo (Patrician Brothers, Blacktown, 2006) and Chris Sandow (Marsden State High School, 2006).
