Submachine gun, drugs at Toongabbie

A submachine gun, drugs and fake identification have been seized by police following a search warrant at a home in Toongabbie.

About 3.55pm yesterday (Wednesday 9 July 2014), detectives from the Firearms and Organised Crime Squad (FAOCS) executed a search warrant at a property on Tucks Road, Toongabbie.

During the search, officers located and seized:

- A submachine gun, with two magazines;

- 28 vials of steroids;

- 100 grams of a substance believed to methylamphetamine;

- 15 grams of cannabis; and,

- A fraudulent NSW Drivers Licence.

Detectives are continuing to conduct inquiries into the matter and expect to lay charges in the near future.
