WERE you a fan of Jessica Mauboy's first film appearance, The Sapphires?

Did you love singing and dancing along to all the tunes whenever they would come up on the screen?

Well now you have a chance to sit down and watch the film in style at The Riverside Theatres.

The Sapphires will screen at Parramatta next Sunday, July 13.

The multi-award winning film is based in the late '60s and brings to life the talent of four young Australian Aboriginal girls who form an all-girl group.

While there is protest and revolution in the streets around the globe, these sisters learn about love, friendship and surviving war when they are booked to entertain the US troops in Vietnam.

Based on a true story this touching film has scooped a number of awards — including AACTA Award for Best Film — and delighted audiences at home and abroad.

It's described as a triumphant celebration of youthful emotion, family and music.

It's classified PG and will screen at 7pm.
