Women charged over Pendle Hill shooting

Homicide Squad detectives have arrested and charged two women, both of whom were allegedly involved in the planning of a man’s murder last year.

Just before midnight on Wednesday 30 October 2013, police and paramedics were called to Dunmore Street, Pendle Hill, following reports of a shooting.

Raymond Pasnin, 27, was found at the scene, suffering from a number of gunshot wounds. He was taken to Westmead Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

Less than a week after Mr Pasnin’s death, on Tuesday 5 November 2013, Strike Force Marley detectives arrested a 26-year-old man at Church Street, Parramatta. He was taken to Merrylands Police Station where he was charged with murder. The matter remains before the courts.

Yesterday, detectives arrested two women – a 23-year-old Seven Hills woman and a 27-year-old Merrylands woman.

Both were taken to Merrylands Police Station where the 23-year-old woman was charged with one count of solicit to murder and the 27-year-old woman was charged with one count of accessory before the fact to murder.

Both women were refused bail and are scheduled to appear before Fairfield Local Court today (Wednesday 18 June 2014).
