Police are appealing for public assistance following a targeted attempted home invasion at Harris Park overnight.
Shortly after 12.40am (Wednesday 11 June 2014), police were called to a unit on Brisbane Street.
Police have been told two women, aged 24 and 27 years, were in the unit when four men began banging on the door, demanding to be let in.
One of the men was armed with a sawn-off shot gun.
They began to kick at the door and the women ran upstairs, contacting police.
The men failed to enter the premises and left on foot; they were last seen heading towards Good Street.
Police from Rosehill Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by forensic specialists.
Police believe the attempted home invasion was targeted.
Detectives are now appealing for information about four men who may be able to assist with their enquiries
One of the men has been described as Pacific Islander/Maori in appearance, about 30 - 40 years of age, with a tall, solid build and was unshaven. He was wearing a fluorescent work uniform and a cap with a hood over the top.
The other three men have only been described as Pacific Islander/Maori in appearance.
