Update: Sex assault Central-Penrith train

***UPDATE***: A 30-year-old Rosehill man will face court after a sexual assault on a train near Parramatta this month.

Penrith police began an investigation, which culminated in the arrest of the man at Harris Park Railway Station on May 7.

He was charged with sexual intercourse without consent and appeared before Parramatta court on May 7, where he was remanded in custody to reappear at Penrith court on July 10.

Meanwhile, investigators would still like to speak with four witnesses in relation to the incident, and are urging them to come forward. It is understood that they did not see the alleged attack; but they are believed to have seen the alleged offender prior to the incident.

Police are seeking three witnesses after an alleged sexual assault on a train near Parramatta earlier this month.

About 4.40am Saturday May 3, a 21-year-old woman boarded a train from Central to Penrith and was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man about 30 years old.

She left the train at Penrith and reported the incident to police.

Investigators are urging four witnesses to come forward.

In CCTV images, the first two men appear Caucasian and aged between 20 and 30.

One was in a beige jacket over a white shirt and long black pants.

The other man was wearing a maroon long sleeve shirt and black pants.

The third witness is a Caucasian man between 25 and 40 in a black and green jacket, white shirt and blue jeans carrying a blue bag.

Please contact police if you recognise anyone.

The witnesses were not involved in the incident.
