Betty Dargie is used to being compared to Katy Perry.
Not only do the two women look uncannily alike, Dargie and the American pop star share the same birth date of October 25.
"It's really spooky," said Dargie, a professional singer, dancer and actor who stars in the Katy Perry Show at Parramatta RSL on Saturday, May 31.
"We have the same hair as well, but I didn't cut or colour my hair to look like her, it's always been like this."
Asked about the Katy Perry Show, Dargie said it was "very visual and colourful" and featured replicas of all the pop star's famous outfits.
"It's based on Katy's life, tours and her videos, so it has a lot of replica costumes she's worn, such as her cupcakes outfit from the California Girls video and the fairy floss dress from the California Dreams tour.
"We also have the Cleopatra costume from her latest video, Dark Horse."
The eight-piece cast includes dancers such as Emma Sammut, of Toongabbie, as well as vocalists and circus acts, including contortionist Jade Twist.
Co-produced and choreographed by former Wiggles choreographer Ben Murray, Dargie said the show was sure to entertain.
"You'll feel like you've seen Katy herself," she said.
Tickets: $20 for adults, $15 for youths 16 years and under.
