Officers attached to Strike Force Zambesi have seized cannabis plants following search warrants at Granville and Leumeah yesterday.
Strike Force Zambesi was established in April 2011 to target the hydroponic cultivation of cannabis in the region.
Just before 9am yesterday, police searched a Leumeah home suspected of being used to grow cannabis in sophisticated hydroponic set-ups.
During the search, police allegedly located and seized about 195 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of $390,000.
At 12.30pm yesterday, police searched a second home at Woodville Road, Granville.
They allegedly located and seized 76 cannabis plants, with an estimated street value of just under $250,000, and over 710 grams of cannabis, with an estimated street value of $9,000.
No one was at either location during the search warrants.
Detectives continue their investigations and anyone with information is urged to contact police via Crime Stoppers.
