Goodness comes to Parramatta

Did you know today is the National Awareness Day of Goodness?

Creator of the Touch of Goodness Foundation Sylvie Boutros created the day to encourage people to think about others before themselves.

‘‘In a world that focuses on money and prestige, I truly felt compelled to make others feel like someone cares,’’ she said.

‘‘Imagine a world if we shared Goodness everyday. That is my mission.’’

The charity was founded in 2010 to raise money for programs like Feed the Homeless, Pamper Me campaigns, school talks and ‘‘random acts of kindness’’.

It also donates money to assist an orphanage in Indonesia via its Touch of Global Goodness Program.

Charity ambassadors Mrs Australia Kate Johnson, Miss Teen Australia Amaan Hatoum and Miss Australia Natalie Assad supported the day by talking and handing out chocolates and ‘‘goodness’’ to passers-by at Parramatta’s Church Street on March 19.
