Being told "no" was not an option for fashion designer Sally Issa.
Like many newcomers the Winston Hills designer struggled to find an outlet for her clothes.
But rather than accept failure, the 21-year-old decided she would open her own markets in Parramatta.
Miss Issa said the Lovers Markets would showcase the talents of emerging and established artists, designers and creative people.
"I found there wasn't a platform to showcase products in the west," Miss Issa said.
"I decided to put it together so locals could have a place where they could go on the weekend as well as a platform for artists to sell their products.
"The whole idea is to help local businesses to shine and become recognised."
The Lovers Markets will be held every Sunday and aims to include up to 100 stalls selling fashion, home decor, stationery, food, art, antiques, beauty products, vintage, music and other creative enterprises.
Henna artist Hura Sirguroh has signed up for the market.
Ms Sirguroh said it was a good opportunity to promote her business, Hura Henna Painting.
"I'm really looking forward to the markets," Ms Sirguroh said.
"If I got to the market I think people will be able to see my work.
"I also hope that I can attract more business from the markets."
Miss Issa hopes to open the market soon.
